Update from my studio

Hi there! It's been a while since my last blog post, and so much has happened. Life moves fast, doesn't it? Here are some updates from my studio.

After a poll I put out through my newsletter , I was surprised to see that most of you want to see more original paintings. That's exactly what I've been focusing on lately. It has been an exciting journey as I have discovered a new style by painting more. The result is unexpectedly cubist, inspired by areas of light and shadows, leading to more simplified forms. It may be a bit reminiscent of the fauvism of the early 20th century, but I hope you can still recognize the unique Tinika style in it.

Color remains an important element in my work, and I strive to create the most beautiful color combinations in each piece that form a vibrant whole. But as always, life is a balancing act. It can sometimes be a challenge to combine everything, but I do my very best to make time for painting every week and make it an integral part of my life.

I am currently working on two series that I want to develop further:

  • "Soul Environment" - my most recent paintings with scenes of female figures in Fauvist style.

  • "Peachy" scenes of the French Riviera, with light and shadow and fresh, warm colors.

These works will be available as paintings on canvas, and I plan to also offer studies on paper as art prints in my webshop.

I'm curious to see how these collections will turn out. Thanks for following along with the process. There are many other plans in my head. But I try to force myself to keep my focus and work through each idea step by step.

Until next time!
