COLOR STUDIES AND SKETCHES

Welcome to a day in my studio. I would like to show you how I will develop my first new collection of the year 2024. You might like to follow this process.

First I determined the colors on a sketch sheet. I do this based on prior inspiration. The concept was also ready - see blog posts Dining collection .

For each concept I determined the colors and composition via a sketch:

SKETCHES Elaboration:

I have already developed Concept 2 on a 70x100 cm canvas in acrylic paint. I will further develop the other concepts in the coming weeks. My goal is to create about 9 new paintings in total.

As you may have noticed, I am currently calling this collection ' Dining ', but that may change. I felt inspired by quiet and cozy scenes at the table, bouquets on the table, drinking coffee,... The everyday things that we often don't think about enough.
